Website Terms of Use

The terms that govern your use of our website, online forms, and portals.

Effective January 1, 2026 · Last updated August 28, 2026

Welcome to the website of My Home Cares, LLC (“My Home Cares,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

These Website Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the My Home Cares website and online services that link to these Terms (collectively, the “Website”).

Please read these Terms carefully. By accessing or using the Website, you acknowledge these Terms.

1. About My Home Cares

My Home Cares provides healthcare and home-care services in Maryland.

Our Website provides general information about our organization, services, employment opportunities, resources, and ways to contact us.

Information available through the Website is intended for general informational and administrative purposes unless expressly stated otherwise.

2. Website Use Does Not Establish a Provider-Client Relationship

Visiting our Website, submitting a contact form, requesting information, or communicating with us electronically does not by itself establish a provider-client relationship with My Home Cares.

A provider-client relationship begins only after applicable intake, assessment, authorization, service-agreement, and other required processes have been completed and My Home Cares has agreed to provide services.

Actual healthcare and home-care services may be governed by separate agreements, plans of care, service plans, authorizations, policies, and program requirements.

If there is a conflict between these Website Terms and a signed client service agreement concerning actual healthcare services, the applicable client service agreement will govern to the extent permitted by law.

3. No Guarantee of Services

Submitting a request for services through the Website does not guarantee:

  • Acceptance as a client;
  • Caregiver or nurse availability;
  • A particular caregiver or healthcare professional;
  • A particular schedule;
  • Medicaid authorization;
  • Insurance coverage;
  • Eligibility for a healthcare program;
  • Approval of requested service hours;
  • A particular service start date; or
  • Availability in a particular geographic area.

Services are subject to applicable assessments, authorizations, eligibility requirements, staffing availability, service agreements, and other requirements.

4. Not Medical Advice

Information on the public Website is provided for general informational purposes.

Website content should not be considered a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency services.

You should consult an appropriate healthcare professional regarding medical questions or concerns.

5. Medical Emergencies

Do not use the My Home Cares Website, contact forms, email, text messages, or other general online communications to request emergency medical assistance.

IF YOU BELIEVE YOU OR SOMEONE ELSE IS EXPERIENCING A MEDICAL EMERGENCY, CALL 911 OR SEEK IMMEDIATE EMERGENCY MEDICAL ASSISTANCE. My Home Cares cannot guarantee that website submissions or electronic communications will be reviewed immediately.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Website only for lawful purposes. You may not:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or information;
  • Access another person's account without authorization;
  • Misrepresent your identity;
  • Submit false, fraudulent, or misleading information;
  • Interfere with the operation or security of the Website;
  • Introduce malware, viruses, malicious code, or harmful technology;
  • Attempt to bypass security or authentication measures;
  • Probe or test systems for vulnerabilities without authorization;
  • Use automated systems to improperly scrape or extract information;
  • Impersonate My Home Cares, an employee, client, caregiver, or another individual;
  • Use the Website to harass, threaten, exploit, or harm another person; or
  • Use the Website for unlawful or fraudulent purposes.

We may restrict or terminate access to online services when reasonably necessary to protect our systems, clients, workforce, or other users.

7. Accounts and Secure Portals

Certain online services may require an account, login credentials, or other authentication. If you receive account credentials, you are responsible for:

  • Keeping your credentials confidential;
  • Using reasonable security measures;
  • Providing accurate account information;
  • Preventing unauthorized use of your account; and
  • Promptly notifying us if you believe your account has been compromised.

You may not knowingly provide your login credentials to an unauthorized individual. We may suspend or restrict account access when necessary to investigate suspected unauthorized access, fraud, security incidents, or violations of these Terms.

8. Health Information and HIPAA

Information provided to or maintained by My Home Cares may constitute Protected Health Information (“PHI”) under HIPAA.

Our use and disclosure of PHI is governed by applicable healthcare privacy law and our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices. Our general handling of website and other personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

If there is a conflict between these Terms or our Privacy Policy and our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices concerning PHI, the HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices will control.

9. Electronic Communications

When you provide an email address or telephone number, you authorize My Home Cares to use that information to respond to your inquiry and communicate with you regarding appropriate service or administrative matters, subject to applicable law and your communication preferences.

Electronic communications, including ordinary email and SMS messages, may carry security risks.

Please use designated secure systems when submitting sensitive healthcare information whenever available.

10. Website Forms

You agree that information you submit through the Website will be accurate to the best of your knowledge.

Do not intentionally submit false information about yourself or another individual.

If you submit information on behalf of another person, you represent that you have appropriate authority or permission to provide the information where required.

11. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the Website and its content — including text, logos, graphics, photographs, designs, videos, downloadable materials, and other original content — are owned by, licensed to, or used with permission by My Home Cares.

12. Third-Party Links and Services

The Website may contain links to or integrations with independent third-party websites, healthcare systems, government resources, payment services, maps, communication tools, or other online services.

A link does not necessarily constitute an endorsement. My Home Cares does not control independent third-party websites and is not responsible for their:

  • Content;
  • Availability;
  • Privacy practices;
  • Security practices; or
  • Terms.

Your use of a third-party service may be subject to that provider's own terms and privacy policies.

13. Website Availability

We work to maintain a reliable and accessible Website, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

The Website or certain features may occasionally be unavailable because of:

  • Maintenance;
  • Software updates;
  • Technical failures;
  • Internet outages;
  • Security incidents;
  • Third-party service interruptions; or
  • Circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

14. Accuracy of Website Information

We strive to provide accurate and current information.

However, healthcare programs, eligibility requirements, reimbursement rules, service areas, staffing availability, rates, and other information may change.

Website information should not be interpreted as a guarantee of current availability, eligibility, insurance coverage, Medicaid approval, reimbursement, or a particular outcome. Please contact My Home Cares to confirm information relevant to your circumstances.

15. Disclaimer

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the public Website and general informational content are provided on an “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee that the Website will always be uninterrupted, completely error-free, or free from all harmful components.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive or limit rights, responsibilities, or protections that cannot lawfully be waived or limited.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, My Home Cares will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages resulting solely from use of or inability to access the public Website.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability or obligations that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

Nothing in these Terms modifies My Home Cares' responsibilities under HIPAA, applicable Maryland healthcare laws, professional standards, or an applicable client service agreement.

17. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Use of our Website is subject to our:

  • Privacy Policy; and
  • HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, when PHI is involved.

We encourage you to review both documents.

18. Accessibility

My Home Cares seeks to make its online information accessible to individuals with disabilities.

If you experience difficulty accessing information on our Website or need information provided in an alternative format, please contact us so we can assist you.

19. Changes to These Terms
